JK,
Thanks for the HTC Advantage video. As a user of this device now for a couple of months (it's been out for a while now in Europe), I can confirm that it is a great device. It has everything that I had been looking for, 3G, WiFi, builtin GPS, 12 GB storage with the HD + SDHC card (I use the HD for media and the SD for GPS maps), VGA and an easy-to-read screen. It is big but fits in a jacket pocket or briefcase, and belt cases are available. It's also great for playing videos on it as a mobile media player. This device really shines as a mobile Internet device to access either mobile versions of websites or RSS feeds via Google Mobile or Skweezer. Egress makes the HTC Advantage a superb RSS feeds reader device. While the Advantage is too bulky as a primary cell phone, being able to receive and make calls is handy for example if you're listening to a podcast with a Bluetooth A2DP handfre headset when a call comes in. I have also found this to be the first device that can make Skype calls via a Bluetooth headset and maintain good sound quality. All of the others are ok with a wired headset but choke when calling via a BT headset, which is what I always have with me.
What I am particularly interested in is your comparison of the HTC Advantage with the OQO Model 2 from a user experience standpoint. Granted they are targeted for different audiences and uses but the questions I have are:
- Is the OQO Mod 2 enough of a laptop replacement like other UMPC's such as the Samsung?
- For a mobile data device, which do you find most useful, Windows XP/Vista or Windows Mobile?
- People have commented on the cost of the HTC Advantage but it's still half the price of a OQO. What's your impression of the cost/benefit aspect of the HTC Advantage?
Have fun testing both units and keep us posted!
Cheers,
Tim

Those worried about IE mobile should remember that both Mozilla Minimo and Opera are available on WM6 and can both display desktop versions of sites.
