Verizon introduces new voice/ data plans
Verizon Wireless is the first to the table with new "unlimited" voice and data plans available shortly for customers. The three new plans include an unlimited voice plan for $99 monthly and two new BroadbandAccess data plans. The voice plan will allow customers to call any phone anywhere in the US for the flat $99 fee without limitations. Verizon will now be offering two tiers of data service, a $39.99 monthly service that provides up to 50 MB of data per month and the familiar $59.99 monthly service with the standard 5 GB of data capped. From the press release:
“These new flat rate plans make mobile broadband more affordable than ever,” said Lanman. “The $39.99 plan is perfect for the occasional or light data user, while the $59.99 plan meets the needs of the majority of heavy data users. The plans are easy to understand and give customers the technology they need to manage their lives – both business and personal.”

So, for $39.99 I aget 50 MB, then for another $20 I get 4.95GB more.
I'm sorry, but the $39.99 price is too much for too little. If it were $9.99 for say 500MB, I could see it.

Wait a second - I have unlimited data access now, and it costs $45. If this is right, I may be changing providers.
