Software finds or remotely locks your S60 phone

Sccreen_2_2If you're in the habit of carrying and then losing a Nokia S60 3rd edition phone, you'll want to keep your eyes out for Phone Protector when the beta arrives. The application installs in a hidden mode on your handset so that would-be theives or people who just pick up and pocket found phones won't know you can find it. If you need to, you can locate the device to within 500 meters (presumably when it's powered on) and even better: you can remotely lock it so that your data is secure. Trust me, it's much easier to replace a phone than it is to replace your identity. The software uses SMS to send the remote lock and unlock commands in a special format. Pretty slick!
