Hi James,

Some guys have all the fun.... ;-)

What screen size does it have?

Any other particulars?.....

Thanks,

Mark

No other particulars because I don't believe that HP is willing to talk about this yet. It was found in one of their partner's booth where they were demoing their software on it. Judie spied it and told us about it so we could see it first-hand. :)

Uh, the details have been available for quite some time. In fact, this was supposed to come out in October, the current HP page has it released "Coming 08"

Specs include a 4 inch screen, 624mHz Xscale 310 processor, 128 megs of ram, 256 megs of flash, and a nice big 2200 mAh battery.

The HP sales page:http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/us/en/sm/WF05a/215348-215348-64929-314903-215384-3544499.html?jumpid=re_R295_prodexp/busproducts/computing-handheld/hp-ipaq-210-enterprise-handheld&psn=handhelds_and_calculators/handheld_pcs

Oh, also, the original ship date was October 8th, the price will be $450

B, thanks for tracking that down. I knew the 200 had been announced a while back but didn't have time to track down specs for it. It's still not shipping as far as I know and it was very interesting that non-HP people had one in their booth.

It's such a shame, really. That thing has an absolutely perfect design and price point. Unfortunately, it also has the black plastic that is the bane of every PSP owner, rendering the device useless for anyone who cares how it looks.
Looks like my Lifedrive is staying my on-the-go encyclopedia and ebook reader.

When will HP get the point that fingerprints and handheld devices should be kept as far away from each other as possible?

By the way, notice that even with a picture low resolution such as that one, you can still tell the device is covered in fingerprints.
