Firefox extension adds Tasks to Gmail, integrates with contacts and mail

Ss_maildetails

Alan Yoshioka just turned me on to this handy little Firefox extension for Gmail which adds a Tasks pane to the mail service. Alan spotted this at Lifehacker, but the extension actually comes from the productive posse over at Remember the Milk. After installing it, you'll see the Tasks pane on the right side of your Gmail web client where you can create new tasks with or without labels. Better yet, you can link tasks to your contacts or e-mail messages thanks to to some nice integration with Gmail. You can even configure the extension to create a task when you add a star or specific label to a message. Simple and useful!

Thanks for posting this Kevin. I remember seeing this on Lifehacker back in December but never got around to installing the plugin. I just did and it works really slick. Since I have GMail open as much as anything else, this puts my to-do's" in front of my face more. My other local PIM client seems to get shoved off to the side - probably a subconscious thing to avoid doing what I should.
