Tech price drops continue, working Star Trek phaser under $100

I know it looks geeky and serves no purpose (other than to look geeky), but I want one of these working Star Trek phasers created by Kipkay. It even looks relatively easy to make considering it's just some minor soldering and cutting. For under $100 you can buy the parts to build it; you'll need a phaser (duh), 9-volt battery, resistor, some wire and a Blu-Ray laser diode. You'll want to keep this away from the kids so they don't burn out retinas of the neighbors pets, of course. Has this just become the newest weapon in the war between Blu-Ray and HD-DVD?

What? Where's the damned setting for Kill? Gyp! Gyp!

Blu-Ray = stun
HD-DVD = kill

;)

Yeah, why use Blu-Ray when HD-DVD players are just $100?!!?
