Verizon's Voyager- going after the iPhone crowd

Verizon has been busy releasing new phones on their network and one of the latest announced new entries is aimed directly at the iPhone crowd.  Engadget has the scoop on four new Verizon phones being released in time for the holidays, but the Voyager is the one that will turn the most heads.  Possessing a large touchscreen on the outside of the device that sports a familiar-looking icon home screen, the Voyager has a full QWERTY keyboard on the inside of the clamshell that looks to beat the iPhone at the messaging game.  The Voyager looks a lot like the iPhone but I'm sure that's just a coincidence, right?

Not only does it look better than the iPhone (more James Bond-ish, in my opinion), but the full keyboard makes me *almost* want a cell phone. :)

it really look like as the iphone

Pretty slick hardware, but I'll wait to see the software before forming an opinion (at least from a technical stance; the device lost me at Verizon).

It's amusing how many new phones that come out are iPhone killers or BlackBerry killers. Do you guys really think in the end that there will be just one mobile device out there ?

I see they like to play the game, "How small can we make the video output." I like the iPhone because it's screen worthy, video looks like it tries to fill what looks like a large screen. The Voyager video showed lots of borders around the phones (vTV)video output, "Yuk!"

Oh, and here's another vid...
