Coffee break - inking on the HP 2710p
A lot of readers are asking me how inking is on the HP 2710p Tablet PC as some users are complaining about inking (pen) problems on theirs.
I am so happy with the ink experience that I had to ink this post. No problems at all!

I know you can't withhold the ink, but the penmanship is not good. Do we need another vote about posting in ink? I am glad you final received your hp 2710p tablet. Hope to see a video review with your thoughts.

Actually, I see two problems. One, the fancy new 2710p hasn't improved your handwriting. Two, the fancy new 2710 hasn't improved your handwriting. Sorry, but I couldn't resist! :)

What a crackup.
A man who loves to ink.
With a website we all read every day.
And the poor guy isn't allowed by his loyal
follwers to express himself in his desired
medium.
C'mon...give the Man a break.
I say....ONE INK ENTRY A DAY...that's not
too much to ask.
It's the least we can do to pay our loyal
authors back for their good work.
Whadda ya say?
As for me, my IQ has dropped
10% since I have been deprived of the deep-
brain massage of trying figure out what the
heck he is trying to write.
ONE INKING A DAY...it's all good.

Maybe it was me complaining?
Anyway, *inking* on my X61t works very well too, but not *fast slides*, e.g., using MessagEase. This is due to some milliseconds of pen lag.

Haha! Sneaky way to bypass the ballot decision against inked entries. Obviously the only way to show the quality of the ink is to show the ink. :)

Sumo, sshhhh. I included the converted text, Live Writer with the Ink Blog plugin does a great job converting ink and appending the text to the ink. I'm already getting email from those who are not happy the ink returned for even one post.

I'm having problems with some parts of my digitizer not aligning properly. It's pretty good everywhere except for the top of the screen in landscape (or left edge in portrait) where the pointer is often several millimeters off. It also seems to be off a bit in other areas, but it's not horrible. I've tried recalibrating while holding the pen straight up with the tip down, while holding it in a normal writing position, etc.
Aside from that I have no major complaints about this tablet and am happy with my purchase!

I too think ink should be used, especially when you have a text version below for those with little patience for art!

I can't believe people are actually e-mailing you, complaining about one ink blog post that was illustrating inking on the 2710p. What a bunch of ingrates. How hard is it to ignore the ink posts? >:-|
In other news, dang it, James, you already "made" me buy a Fujitsu P1610... I don't have the budget for the 2710p also. :)

I personally am no great fan of the pure ink posts but because you typed the post again as a caption meant that i was able to read it without any problems.
I say ink away my friend to your hearts content. Just remember to caption a typed version of the post for us who are ink illiterate ;)
