More on iPXSync: full Exchange sync service for the iPhone
Well that was quick! No sooner did I post something on the upcoming beta of iPXSync for the iPhone when I got some direct info from someone associated with the company. Remember how I wondered about Task synchronization? After all, there's no Task application on the iPhone. Turns out that the service will convert items into e-mail that you can read on your iPhone. Not only that, but many of the items will be handled in a full two-way sync meaning: if you delete a Task on your iPhone, it will get deleted on the Exchange server too. Sweet!
Just so your Inbox doesn't get cluttered with "non-emails", iPXSync will create folders for non e-mail objects, so I'd expect to see a Tasks folder in my mailbox. It might not be a native solution, but it definitely shows promise and would provide over-the-air access to many Exchange objects currently not available. Sign me up!

if this works a lot of people might make the jump. Exchange seems to be the primary killer for a lot of friends.. I just signed up for beta..
thx for the info,
bob

I dunno.... One of their FAQs says that as long as you can use OWA then you can use their product. But another FAQ entry says that it will use SSL IMAP. For many/most users, you will have to beg/sweat talk your IT people into enabling that, which will be no trivial feat for many. It certainly isn't going to be as simple as they imply for many/most users.
