Google Reader adds Search feature, bloggers rejoice

Searchreader

Add this to the "what took you so long" category: Google finally added a search feature to Google Reader! I always found it odd that the company never put their core competency to use in their already very usable RSS reader. Look for a search box at the top of the reader, enter a word or phrase and you can instantly find any references to your request in those RSS subscriptions that you never seem to get through. Love it and now I feel like I can add another 500 subscriptions to my list. What's new and different that everyone's subscribed to these days? Oh, and no need to hit that "U" button to show or hide subscriptions, just click or tap on the separator and you're good.

Wow, didn't even notice that, until I read the post and looked to the top of the screen. I did notice the new "Loading" graphic, right above the search box though...

They've also changed the unread article count. Now, instead of showing 100+, it shows 1000+. *One* of my feeds has almost 800 unread articles. Yikes! A few weeks ago I was completely caught up.

It's not JKOTR, btw. All caught up here.

I am sorry, but I have not sympathy for you techno hungry folks. You should know by now that electronics drop in price very quickly when they are new on the market. Thanks to you guys, everyone gets to enjoy the benefit of lower prices. All I can say is don't break your buying habits - we really appreciate it!!
