Border crossing yields $4 iPhone headset adapter

Iphoneheadsetadapter I might have enough Canadian pennies saved up for this headphone adapter from Helium Digital. Oh stop laughing, I know you have some of those Maple Leaf cents in a drawer too. Seriously, for $3.99 Canadian and free shipping, I think I'm going to nab an HD-005 3.5 mm headphone adapter for my iPhone. Chris Leckness found this inexpensive cable that allows you to use any standard headphone set with the iPhone's recessed jack. The HD-005 works with microphone-equipped 'phones too, so you can have the best of both worlds. Now the trick is to decide what headphones to buy. I can't drop too much money on a full-time blogger budget, but the Shure E2c's are in our Amazon store for under $55 right now, so I'm leaning in that direction. I don't need a microphone on my headset, so I'm open to suggestions...

Heh, might as well spend some of those US pennies seeing as how the US and Canadian currencies are almost at parity. Actually its really made those pricy US products a lot cheaper and more appealing now that the currencies are so close. Buying products from the US is like getting a 30% discount nowadays. That Model 02 is starting to look better and better.

I bought a $2 adaptor off eBay in early July and I've really missed the click button for controlling the iPhone. I'm leaning towards a pair of Etymotic's that have been soldered onto the iPhone cable so you get the clicker button coupled to some decent 'buds.
