Direct Push e-mail on the iPhone "next month or two"?

Exchange_server Another Exchange support rumor is in the air, only this time it comes from someone I've read and repected for some time. Sven Rafferty has written for Lockergnome longer than I can remember and he's got some info on his personal site that was interesting. An Exchange ISV mentioned that full Exchange and Direct Push e-mail support would be on the iPhone in the next month or two. This would almost have to come from Apple licensing ActiveSync from Microsoft and then providing a software update, but it's far from unprecedented as companies like Palm and Nokia already license the technology. More on what full Exchange support provides and why you do / don't need it in an upcoming post.

I hope this is true, and while Apple is at it, go ahead and license Direct Push for Apple Mail etc in Leopard.

Ah...spoken like a true Exchange admin. ;)
