Gear Diary reviews the HTC Advantage

Since I watched Judie Hughes' unboxing video of the HTC Advantage I have to admit I've thought a lot about the innovative device.  It is a bit pricey but it almost looks like a laptop replacement for the true road warrior.  Judie has followed that video up with a good review written after five days of usage and has some really good insights into the Advantage.  Check out her review if you are wondering about this cool Windows Mobile device.

Bottom line: it is a huge VGA Pocket PC.

I have a not-so-huge Fujitsu-Siemens Pocket PC with a VGA screen and a 3.5 inch screen is plenty enough for VGA. 5 inches is just huge with zero added benefit if you're not visually challenged.

I have watched a pile of videos now, and one thing they don't show is if you can hold it in your hand and type on it. Everyone snaps the keyboard on it while setting it on a table. If you can use your 'thumbs' with a thumbboard, what good is it?

JohnNull, watch the second half of the video at this link and you'll have your answer:

Oh that is funny. Thanks JK! So I wonder if you can buy them WITHOUT the keyboard? After watching that I'll stick with my current combination of handwriting recognition and stowaway bt keyboard.
