Vista performance tweaks for UMPCs

Vista_registry Although I haven't tried it yet, I've been following an Origami Project forum thread started by Andy that contains a few tweaks to increase UMPC performance. After some testing was done to verify results, Frank (Ctitanic) outlined it on his site as well. If you feint at the site of registry keys, then this tweak isn't for you, so be careful.

The settings affect Vista Superfetch and another memory management feature. I'm rebuilding Samantha to a full Vista build (she had an identity crisis between XP and Vista), so I'll give it a go once she's feeling 100% again.

Kevin you'll be glad to go full Vista on the Q1P. I have been using my Q1P with Vista since January and I like it. Now with the HID driver install, you can get back inking which I missed until now. Also the Pen Flicks works great on the Q1P kind of reminds me when I had my Toshiba Tablet, it had a program that did what pen flicks does. Enjoy full Vista.

Thanks Hector. My Vista partition was running fine and feature full, but I need to reclaim the drive space, so XP is a goner for now. I do like a dual-boot setup for testing and such, but I think it's time to let go of XP Tablet edition for now. Besides, I don't want Samantha to suffer from MOSD: Multiple OS Disorder. ;)
