HTC Advantage gets the unboxing treatment at Gear Diary

Judie Lipsett Hughes is the latest HTC Advantage X7500 owner and runs through the obligatory unboxing video. You get a real good feel for how well the magnetic keyboard attaches to the five-inch display and HTC gets high marks from me on the packaging. It reminds me of the Samsung Q1 box and presentation...only smaller! Judie promises a review in the future; I'm curious to hear her thoughts on a Windows Mobile device of this size with a full, chiclet-style keyboard.

I have to admit Judie's video unboxing has me jonesing for an Advantage. The look of sheer joy on her face as she "took a look at the device" was priceless. :)

Yes, Judie has class, enough said about that! She is fond of big screens in mobile devices and has been looking for a worthy successor to her Universal. In some ways, I agree with her. I still read my ebooks on my Axim X51 because the screen is bigger. Using my Dopod 838 pro has reawakened my love of the 3.5 inches screen of my old PDA. I love my phone and I do a lot on it but for reading and, I have to admit, surfing, the bigger screens are much better.
The advantage is an entire different story however. Its almost UMPC size with WM. I am not sure I could lug around that thing. I'm definitely waiting for the Shift but let`s wait for her review and see!
