Zune is gone, hello new iPod
I have had enough with the Zune problems on my Fujitsu P1610. Sure, I was finally able to get the Zune software running fine on the MacBook Pro under Parallels but quite frankly I don't like having Parallels running all the time as it saps the battery and makes the MBP run hot all the time. Besides, I shouldn't have to run the Zune software on a MAC to get it to work. To be fair a lot of Zune owners are running the software just fine, including my wife who runs it on a HP tc1100 with Vista. That's all well and good but whatever the reason it won't run on my P1610 which is where I need to run it. So this weekend I boxed it up and picked up an 80 GB iPod. I figure if I'm going to run my audio player on the Mac it might as well be an iPod, right? Took me all of 15 minutes to set it up and sync all my content over. Sweet.

MacBook Pro...iPod...sounds like the Cupertino Show!

Slooooooooowly he slips higher into the Apple tree. Oh the fall will be ugly.
Ah James, James, James....
(Dennis leaves to go Google support groups for the Mac brainwashed -- James is gonna need it. Classic example of assimilation.)
Hey Rob -- Did you order my Mac yet? :)

It's Macsimilation :D
A question, how does the Tc1100 run under Vista? Could be nice to have someone in the tabletsphere showing how "old" tablets run vista.

I, too, would like to hear more about the TC1100 running Vista. I have a TC1100, finally, and use it everyday -- but I do not want to spend a lot of hours getting it to work under Vista. James, could you do a video overview on how Vista works on the TC1100? and what functionality, if any, would we lose? Thanks.

You returned your Gigabeat? ... er, I mean Zune!?
How DARE you buy hardware from a company that writes it's own OS, rather than outsourcing it?
Now you've done it TWICE!
That's how the cult sucks you in. First, they build quality products. Next, if the product breaks, they give you good service. The BASTARDS!!!
Next thing you know, you will be a satisfied customer (aka "smug").

I too want to hear more about Vista on the TC1100. I currently utilize a TC1100 for my every day machine (until the OQO arrives) and never even considered installing Vista on it... until now.
