Zune firmware upgrade in mid-March: just fixes for now

Zune_3 Zune Insider mentions a firmware upgrade from 1.2 to 1.3 for the Zune expected in the next few weeks. Unless there's a surprise in the package, it doesn't sound like any new or upgraded features in the mix, but there are some needed fixes and enhancements:

  • Fix to the skipping problem that some have reported; I've had this issue and it's annoying, so this is a welcome fix to me
  • Improved device detection and synchronization
  • Change to the FM Tuner to eliminate power drain while in sleep mode

What I'd love to see next time around (or snuck in this version): expansion of the WiFi usage (connect directly to the Marketplace) and the ability to delete a track directly on the Zune.
