Sling intros Palm public beta in time for the morning news

Screen4
The wait is over for Palm users: tomorrow morning will bring the long awaited Sling support in the form of a public beta! Initially for the Palm 700p, the Sling Mobile software will appear on the Sling download page and allow Slingbox owners to stream and control live audio/video from their homes. If you miss the morning news, you can always let Oprah grace your display in the afternoon! Once the public beta is over, the Sling Mobile software for Palm is expected to cost the same as the Windows Mobile version: $29.99 after the 30-day free trial. Canadians just got the new Slingboxes last week, but their version of the software will tip the scales at $34.99 CAD. Hey, don't blame me: I don't set the exchange rates! ;) If you can't wait until tomorrow to see the new client, we've got a few screenshots after the jump.
