Mindomo: web-based mind mapping

Mindomo

Big shout out to Alan Yoshioka who turned me on to Mindomo, a beta web-product (based on Adobe Flash 9) that looks like an excellent mind mapping tool. There's a demo you can just jump right into; I did just that and quickly started mapping a light topical view of our site, shown above. The interface is very Office 2007-ish, complete with a ribbon interface at the top of your map. I was able to add, edit and move ideas very simply, just like I could in a full desktop client. Well worth a look if you want to try a mind mapping application through a web service; you'd swear this is a full desktop client and since it runs in the browser, it's basically platform independent. Collaboration and accessibility come to mind since the maps are available through the web. Nice find Alan!

Since no-one else has commented, I thought I'd just leavc a great big THANKS for this post. I am a big fan of mind-mapping and this seems to be a great way of consolidating my maps in one place and be able to get them wherever.
