Michael Gartenberg jumps back

It was only last month that analyst Michael Gartenberg announced he was leaving Jupiter Research to join Microsoft as an “enthusiast evangelist”, a move that surprised just about everyone who has ever met Michael.  Well, it’s time for him to surprise everyone again so he announced he is leaving Microsoft to jump back to Jupiter.  I’m sure his reasons are sound but it has certainly shocked a lot of people.  His desertion leaves Microsoft short one enthusiast evangelist and even though I’m not 100% sure what one does I’m pretty sure I’d be a good one.  What do you think, Microsoft?  Am I ready to enter the tech clergy?

I think he made the right move. Let others speculate as to whether he was pushed out or fled.
