Wireless Hotel Check-Ins on Windows Mobile coming from Marriott

Having travelled from Philly to Florida twice in the past two months, I could have really used this: Marriott is testing wireless check-ins from Windows Mobile smartphone handhelds. Guests download a small application and then check in while en route to the hotel; clearly you’ll need some type of data connectivity. Once you arrive on site, you simply pick up your room key at key dispenser, head to your room, kick back and relax.

Only one hotel in the Marriott chain is on the test list currently, I won’t tell you the city for fear of a GWA validation; for you Pig Latin readers out there: it’s Edmondray.
