Use Skype over any phone with the Skype Phone Converter
Recently we told you about the new Vonage V-Phone, a little VoIP gadget the size of a USB key chain drive. It's a great device for Vonage customers but wouldn't it be better if you could just use Skype over any of your phones? The Skype Phone Converter is not much bigger than the Vonage V-Phone and it seems far more useful to me. Just plug the USB Skype device into any computer, plug in your land line and then use Skype over the regular phone. It looks pretty fool-proof and even works over cordless phones. No more spending big bucks on Skype phones when you can just use the one you already have.

The hassle with Skype is that you have to be at the computer to initiate calls, and it doesn't seem that this device is changing that as it (probably) doesn't let you "dial" a Skype contact from a random phone.
Instead of paying $55 for this solution, I'd probably rather get one of these Linksys cordless internet phones for Skype:
