iSee hi-def TV on the iPod

ATO will soon introduce the iSee add-on for the iPod which is a sleeve-like gizmo that will let owners view video in high-definition, whether or not it’s a video iPod.    The iSee will sell for $199 – $250 and what is really cool is how the device creates a partition inside the iPod to store content specifically for the iSee.  This allows owners to view video that did not originate from the iTunes Music Store and thus not restricted by the DRM from Apple.  The iSee will handle MPEG 4, Divx, HD.264 and other video formats and the battery is rated at five hours.  ATO has been selling an earlier model, the 360i, in retail outlets this year.
