Steve Ballmer- new cellphones to give iPods a go

Very interesting statement from Steve Ballmer in Germany:

"We will soon witness a lot of innovations and changes in portable devices," explained Ballmer last evening at a management forum held by German weekly Welt am Sonntag in the Axel Springer Haus in Berlin. These changes will affect telephones, e-mail machines, and music players. "Portable music is not limited to iPods."

This is the second time in the past few weeks the Microsoft CEO has indicated that soon to appear cellphone technology will give the iPod some stiff competition.  I'd love to find out what technology that might be.
