Rob Bushway digs the ThinkPad Tablet PC

If you are a Tablet PC enthusiast you can't help but be forever envious of Tablet PC MVP Rob Bushway because he's always playing with multiple Tablet PCs. He's just posted his first impressions of the Lenovo ThinkPad X41 Tablet PC and it seems he's liking it so far. He points out something I've seen on notebooks and Tablet PCs, too. The ThinkPad's power settings defaulted to maximum power conservation at the expense of performance and once Rob changed it he found it snappy and delightful to work with. A good lesson, if you get a new mobile PC and find it sluggish, check the power management settings. The OEM may be shooting you in the foot without you even knowing it.
