Texas deploys 450 Tablet PCs to aid social workers

The Department of Family and Protective Services recently announced the assignment of Tablet PCs to aid their 450 caseworkers in protecting senior citizens. The Tablet PCs have an attachable digital camera providing a complete field system for documenting cases of neglect or abuse and the goal is to free up time in the field so the caseworkers can spend more time interacting with clients and their families. No details on the Tablet PCs have been provided.
