Verizon, Dell, Lenovo and HP sitting in a tree

First Dell made an announcement they would be teaming up with Verizon Wireless to include EVDO capability in their notebook computers.  Then Levovo jumped into the fray followed shortly by HP.  All three companies will embed EVDO technology into their notebook lines to provide high-speed connectivity on the Verizon BroadbandAccess network.  This is a very shrewd move on Verizon’s part to insure continued growth and adoption of their EVDO network services.  I have been using EVDO with Verizon for a few months and it is a wonderful service.  Having the modem embedded in the mobile device makes a great deal of sense to me, and now that Verizon has dropped the monthly cost of BroadbandAccess from $80 to $60 this could be big for them.
