Plustek OpticSlim M12- 600 dpi scanner to go

Plustek_scannerI hear from a lot of mobile users who are looking for a good mobile scanner to take with them on the road and use with their Tablet PC or other mobile computer.  The trick is to find one that is so small it is very mobile yet still yields good results.  The Plustek OpticSlim M12 looks to fit that criteria very well and a review on MSNBC backs that up.  The M12 scans 3 pages per minute at 600 dpi in full color and draws all the power it needs from the computer's USB port.  You can probably find one of the jewels on the street for $120 so if you're looking for a highly mobile scanner it looks like you can't go wrong with this one.  The only uncertainty I have about the M12 is whether the USB port on the Sony U provides enough power to run the scanner.
